We’ve loved showing you the gorgeous Olive & Opal makes from some of our favourite makers these past few weeks. The time following a release is always so exciting as we slowly see all of you get into your patterns! We had so many incredible makes we wanted to share that we’ve got a second maker email to share with you!
One of my absolute favourite things when releasing new patterns is seeing the individual spin you put on them! So, to celebrate the release of Olive & Opal, I asked some of my favourite makers to show us how they would use the patterns!
As usual, each and every one has absolutely hit their make out of the park! I’ve already popped some of the clever ideas onto my list for future Olive & Opal makes (the wardrobe is getting seriously full you guys).
I really hope you enjoy these takes on Olive & Opal and make sure to check out these wonderful makers reviews and Instagram accounts. This is only the first post of two so there is serious inspiration coming your way in the coming weeks. I hope you get as much joy as we did when looking through these makes!
I’m so happy to introduce you to the Opal pants and shorts sewing pattern!
We started working on this pattern almost eighteen months ago, and I’m so glad we took the time to really perfect it because we ended up adding on so many options and I love how it has turned out! As often happens this pattern fills a void in my own wardrobe – a comfy pants shaped void ;) After wearing jeans constantly for the last few years I have found myself really wanting some comfy pants that are also stylish.
This pattern has been designed to be modular and all pattern pieces can be mixed and matched to your hearts content to make your dream pants! Please don’t feel limited by the views we’ve included because there are honestly endless combinations you can try.
I wanted to keep this pattern at a beginner level as a really achievable entry level pants pattern, but the wonderful thing is that there are enough great details to make it a really fun pattern for more experienced makers!
Let’s have a look at all the details…
My friends after so so many months of hard work I am thrilled to be able to share my new pattern collection with you!
I’ll be posting more detailed info about each pattern in the coming days, but for now here are some of our campaign images for this collection, and at the end of this post you’ll find a little summary of each pattern.
I can’t wait to hear what you think of these new patterns!
