This is it – the very last post in our Virginia leggings construction. It’s time for the basic hem. Which is arguably the easiest and shortest tutorial post you will ever see, haha. You see, with knits like this, there is no need to double fold a hem or finish the raw edge. So its super easy and fast! Let me show you…

Turn under 1/2″ of the fabric towards the wrong side.

Repeat for the other leg.

Topstitch just under 1/2″ from the folded edge on the right side using a twin needle, or along the raw edge of the turned under hem on the inside using a zig zag stitch.
See? That’s it!
