I know we say it all the time, but it’s always true – we are SO grateful for our incredible testers who take time out of their busy schedules to give us feedback on our patterns before they are released. We are so excited to finally be able to share with you some of the gorgeous makes our Hovea Curve testers made! As often happens with testing we made some changes to the pattern based on feedback from our testers to get the best fit possible, and in this case, the sleeves were shortened and shoulders were narrowed post-testing. Thank you so much to our amazing testers, we’re sending you hugs across the internet! Without further ado, lets have a look at some gorgeous jackets and coats!

WHAT DID YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT THE PATTERN?
I loved the simplicity of the pattern! There’s not that many pieces and it’s easy to construct. It’s very chic, fashion-forward yet classic, too! It’s really adaptable! You can easily make this unique. There is so much to this pattern!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN?
I absolutely love the lined option, it looks and feels so luxurious and is really comfortable. A great jacket for cooler spring and summer evenings.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN?
I love the large pockets and the idea of making pocket divisions. I divided the pockets in my version and they are super cute!

DO YOU HAVE PLANS FOR ANOTHER VERSION?
I think a quilted version will be perfect for next winter.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN?
I loved how much I learned from doing this. The diagrams were helpful (I didn’t need to look up any techniques somewhere else!). It’s classic, versatile, and I can’t wait to make more.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FUTURE VERSIONS PLANNED?
I can see the long version with a belt in a snuggly fabric being used as a robe/dressing gown. The short version, sized down in a velvet for a dressy piece for the holiday season.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN?
My favorite thing about this pattern is the option of doing lined, unlined, or quilted (which could be quite nice). Depending on the time of year and climate, I feel this pattern could work year round. The deep massive pockets are also an attraction and customizing by adding compartments to the pockets is genius.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FUTURE VERSIONS PLANNED?
I’m already planning a long, quilted version, as a snuggly barrier against winter. I haven’t done anything quilted before, so I’m looking forward to giving it a crack! I am also planning to add pockets to the lining and make it fully reversible.
