Guess what everyone, it’s time for our favourite part of every pattern release, our Reef Curve Tester Round Up!! As we were developing the extended sizing for our Reef Camisole & Shorts set we couldn’t wait to send it out to test! Of course, when Reef was released originally we had some wonderful testers help us to test the pattern (you can see that tester round up here), but as always we wanted to make sure our Curve makers found the fit of the pattern just right!
After we finished our tester round there were some important changes to the fit that we decided to make based on the feedback we received. You might notice some fit differences between the tester makes below and the final pattern, but rest assured any changes have made the pattern even better!
Some of our testers have been kind enough to allow us to share their makes with you, so let’s take a look at some of their beautiful PJs!

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
I love the cross over back, it is a really nice detail that sets the pattern out from the crowd!
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I would love to make the cami in a linen fabric for everyday wear. The set I have made is very much nightwear out of a silky fabric!

View A // Bias cut camisole & View B // Mid-rise shorts with curved hemline
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The curved hem, and crossoverback.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
Next time I would like to make a more sophisticated version. With satin and lace.

MADE
View A // Bias cut camsiole & View C // Low rise shorts with straight hem
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
Beautifully produced, clear easy to follow instructions. Most wonderful paor of shorts and a pretty top.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I’m planning to make some linen shorts or perhaps some in chambray. These will without a doubt be my go to summer shorts. Love them!
I will also be making another top in some white linen to wear out and about. Although the top design is almost a ‘racer-back’, it is modest and you could get away with pretty bra straps showing, if that doesn’t bother you.

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The hem on the shorts, so nice and neat!
WOULD SHE MAKE THE PATTERN AGAIN?
Oh yes this would be great for summer lounging or be on holiday if we can!

View A // Bias cut camisole & View B // Mid-rise shorts with curved hemline
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
I like the cross back detail on the camisole and the scallops on the legs.
WOULD SHE MAKE THE PATTERN AGAIN?
Yes, in a drapey fabric preferably with a little stretch if I have one in my stash. I would probably use accent colours on the cross pieces on the back and on the leg scallops, or else use one fabric, and join the scallop pieces on the legs to the shorts pattern pieces as one pattern piece and hand hem the facings. Of course, for me, I would also lower the bust dart and widen the back both by 1″

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The back is super cute! And I love how comfortable this is as a pyjama.
DOES SHE HAVE ANY FUTURE VERSIONS PLANNED?
Yes, I made my first in cotton. Think I need at least one in satin and maybe add some lace to it.

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The camisole was a big surprise as I didn’t think it would work on me. I also loved the back straps.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
The shorts are very versatile so I’ll be making some in French terry for casual wear. Also another camisole after adjusting the darts.

The detail on the back of the singlet that still covers my bra straps.

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The bias cut top cross strap yolk, so cute and so many great options for contrasting fabrics.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I want to make another set for sleeping in a smaller size but also make a pair of the shorts with a flat front and elastic back for everyday.
