How to Make Detachable Flint Overalls Video Tutorial + Sewing With My Vintage Elna Lotus

How to sew Flint detachable overalls with FREE add on sewing pattern | Megan Nielsen Blog

I’ve been wanting to make some overalls for quite a while using my favourite organic linen Flint pants and our free Flint overalls add on, and have had the fabric prewashed and ready to go since I cut out the Flints. So this week I set aside some time to make them and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! My regular sewing machine (Bernina 530) is out for a service so this was a really fun opportunity to pull out my Vintage Elna Lotus and take it for a spin.

Previously we’ve shown you how to make Flint overalls using our free add on Overall pattern pieces, but today I’ll be sharing a video tutorial for how to make a detachable overall bib! I wanted to be able to wear my Flint’s as pants sometimes and as overalls other times, so making the overall bib detachable gives a lot of flexible in wearing.

If you’d like to watch my tutorial for how to make Flint overalls with detachable bib and see what it’s like to sew with my Vintage Elna Lotus check it out via the video embedded below, or on my Youtube channel here. Flint is available in sizes 0-20 and Curve 14-30.
