We are so excited about today’s post! It’s a Tester Round Up (which you all know we love)…BUT, it’s extra special today because it’s one of our first Curve specific tester roundups!!
When we were developing the extended sizing for our Rowan pattern we were so excited to get the Curve pattern out to test. The Rowan Bodysuit & Tee was tested when it was originally released (you can see all the fab makes here on the blog) but we feel it is really important to make sure our Curve makers love the fit of the pattern as well. Fit is so important when sewing knits with negative ease and we’re so thrilled with how the testers makes turned out!
Make sure you check out all of our testers & their Instagram accounts to see what sewing inspiration they are sharing! Let’s check out their Rowans!

View A // Short sleeve crew neck tee
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
Super straightforward & I liked that the sleeves had no notches and were sewn in straight rather than in the round. I love it for a close-fitting tee and will be great for layering.

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
Feels empowering to wear.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I hope to make a v-neck bodysuit. Then hack the (crew neck) pattern into a two-piece suit.

View B // 3/4 sleeve V-neck tee
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The fit! I have never had a tee that fitted so well.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I’ve already made a second one in a cotton jersey, a v-neck with short sleeve. Planning to make some long-sleeved versions for winter too, v-neck and turtleneck. Also, I want to try a bodysuit in lycra as a test run for a swimsuit. This is such a wardrobe builder, I love it!

View E // 3/4 sleeve V-neck bodysuit & View A // Short sleeve crew neck tee
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The fit felt great and it was a straight forward sew and a first-timer for V-neck and clasps. I still succeeded in completing the bodysuit!
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
Another bodice with added length for low vertical stretch fabric MN cotton jersey. Make longer length arms to include thumb holds and tighter arm fit.

View B // V-neck tee with short sleeves
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The ease of construction – it comes together so effortlessly.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I’m loving trying different knits for different results. I’ve made a lurex ribbed crew with long sleeves, a rayon spandex short-sleeved turtleneck and a cotton Lycra short-sleeved V neck.
This pattern makes a great layering piece.

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The way the pattern was designed with the top and the bottom to save paper. It was quite nice and made it easy to cut.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
I would like to make a few with some CL that I’ve been saving.

View B // 3/4 sleeve V-neck tee with hacked sleeves and waist tie
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
My favorite thing with The Rowan Curve was the simplicity of the design and the reward of a beautifully-fitting top once sewn up. Just an all-around satisfying make.
WHAT SHE THOUGHT OF THE PATTERN
I made a short-sleeved V-neck for my first make. For the 2nd top, I added full circle flounce to the lower sleeves and a hem band w/ tie feature to Version B. It looks so fun and retro! I want to do more hacks on the sleeves in future versions.

I love the genius of the Mix and match pattern pieces! It’s very easy to use them and it makes the PDF taping so much easier.

Yes! I want to make some bodysuit versions to wear with skirts and I really want to make some more turtleneck versions for the coming fall months.
