Mini Eucalypt Pattern tester roundup

Mini Eucalypt Tester Round Up

My favourite part of the pattern tester round up is seeing all these beautiful creations modelled by the cutest kids! All our testers have done such an amazing job we just had to share their adorable creations! Happy viewing!

Her favourite thing about the pattern

Easy and quick. I also like the way the bias branding was applied. Will definitely be using this method next time! Also I love that it doesn’t take too much fabric and I can use up my remnants.

Her favourite thing about the pattern

The mommy and me matching potential, of course! And that it can be a good scrap buster for the smaller sizes since the tank only needs 1/2 yard.

Her thoughts

I love the versatility of this dress. You can keep it simple, or add some flair like different sleeves. It is great to showcase a favorite printed fabric since it is just an A line dress without too much detail getting in the way.

Her favourite thing about the pattern

I love the fit of this tank so much! I find buying tanks at commercial stores to be difficult because the straps always want to slide off my daughter’s shoulders. Not so with the Mini Eucalypt! With no adjustments, the pattern fits her so well! It’s so lovely to have a go-to pattern on hand now.

Do you have any future versions planned?

Lined dress, straight hem, adding ruffles to a hem.

Her favourite thing about the pattern

Finish. I love that you took time to propose the best finishing techniques, not just say “finish seam allowances” like most patterns. It makes it less stressful for a beginner.

The shape of the neckline is lovely, and the shaped hem is such a nice detail.

Do you have any future versions planned?

I want to make a tank top version, and/or one with a little lace cap sleeve. I think it would also be cute with a big drapey ruffle in the front center seam.

I definitely want to try it in viscose, maybe in a bolder pattern and use a contrast binding next time.

I love the gentle hi-lo hem, I think this makes it a lovely, delicate dress for a little girl.
