Marble Floreat Crop top

Sometimes it’s the simplest quickest makes that bring me the most joy. This sleeveless marble Floreat crop top was made using the leftover scraps from one of our Floreat dress samples and was squeezed out of less than 1m of fabric. Don’t you love it when that happens? I love squeezing things out of almost no fabric – it makes me feel like a living legend – it’s probably the closest to living on the edge I’ll get hehehe. Given I was working with leftovers I didn’t quite have enough to cut the all in one facings in a solid piece, so they’re a little spliced together on the inside. But you know what? Who’ll ever know! I mean except you… because you read this…

The fabric is a really lovely linen from Potter & Co Australia, and I love that even though it’s a light colour it isn’t transparent at all. Worn here with my Dawn tapered leg jeans, this is probably one of my most worn summer garments. I definitely need to add more sleeveless Floreat crops to my summer wardrobe!
