I’ve been dying to show you my current favourite pair of Tania culottes! I made this pair from a cotton linen blend from the Morrison warehouse sale (do you ever get tired of me talking about this sale? Sorry I’m running out of fabric so i’ll stop soon hehehe). I don’t usually wear light colour bottoms because well, I have three kids ;) Also I’m a bit clumsy. But this pair are getting quite the workout. I usually gravitate to all things grey, but this bone colour also seems to go with everyone – so i feel like i’m winning! It’s shocking that is pair have stayed relatively crisp given how much stuff me and my darlings spill everywhere.

I have always loved my Tania culottes, but must admit that the pockets really do make them so much better! I’m definitely enjoying just throwing my keys and phone in my pockets on the school run and skipping the handbag completely. Ah the freedom. It’s strange how leaving your bag at home can make you feel so unencumbered. Anyone else in that boat with me?

My one regret is the same regret i am every time i sew with linen – the wrinkles. I try to embrace them in theory… but in reality i spend an inordinate amount of time ironing them each time i wear them, and then cursing the second they get wrinkled.
With my culottes i’m also wearing my favourite Sudley blouse. It’s the cropped length, and made from the most lovely cotton silk blend from G Street fabrics back when we lived in Virginia. I love this fabric so much! I originally used it to make a Darling Ranges dress a few years ago, and then this Sudley sample which somehow *cough* made it’s way into my wardrobe after the photoshoot. I only have a few scraps left, really small ones, but i can’t bear to part with them. Perhaps it’s time to make another scrap quilt! I miss making those, but they do always feel like so much work.
