You guys. I can’t even tell you how hard it has been waiting to share these images of the new Dove blouse pattern made by our gorgeous and amazing testers! Every time a new set of photos hit our inbox, we were literally blown away.
Obviously I’m biased, but I truly adore all of these so much. You might even notice that a few of them inspired the samples i made up for the Dove photos on our website!
As always, i am so grateful to all of our testers for helping us get this pattern just right before release – giving up their spare time and providing us with super helpful feedback. You gals absolutely rock and I wish i could hug you all!
So without further ado, i really hope you enjoy checking out these amazing Dove blouses by some of our testers – and don’t forget to check out their blogs and Instagram for more sewing inspiration!

Version 1 blouse with elbow length sleeves + lengthened the pattern to make a gorgeous dress!
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
I love the swooping hem on this pattern, along with the french darts and ‘V’ neck. It was great fun to sew – simple yet stylish and with a lot of scope to play around with lengths and sleeves for the creative sewists among us.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
In addition to my straight-up by-the-book version of Dove, I have also made a sleeveless summer dress with a drawstring waist (I re-shaped the arm holes). As I was sewing this one I tried it on tucked into my Brumby and it looked awesome. So next up will be another sleeveless version with a straight hem as I would wear it tucked in. I would also make a long-sleeved tunic length for Autumn.

Version 1 blouse with elbow length sleeves
HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
I like how versatile it is based on fabric choice. A silk version would be just the right amount of dressy without feeling fussy but can easily be more casual in a rayon or lightweight cotton when worn with jeans.
I thought of this as perfect to wear on a beach in a lightweight, flowy tropical print fabric to keep the sun off while still keeping cool. Either with shorts or flowy loose pants.

HER FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE PATTERN
The silhouette! I have never worn a blouse so perfectly drafted. Perfectly slim at the bust with just the right amount of fabric over the hips to be flowy without being frumpy. It looks wonderful with both jeans and skirts.
WHAT SHE IS PLANNING ON MAKING NEXT
My next version will be with Robert Kaufman’s Brussels Washer Linen. I think the drape of that fabric would be perfect with this garment!

I absolutely love the fit! The blouse has many interesting details (flared sleeves, high-low hem) that can make it a statement piece but it also has the potential to be a simple wardrobe staple.
