Megan Nielsen Rie dress and top sewing pattern

I’m so excited to announce the re-release of the Rie dress and top PDF sewing pattern!

Rie is a tunic dress or top with yoke and above elbows sleeves. Pattern features fitted yoke with gathers from above the bust and can be worn as maternity wear. Version 1 is a tunic dress with above elbow sleeves. Version 2 is a sleeveless maxi dress. Version 3 is a short sleeve top.

The original pattern has been adjusted to make it work beautifully as maternity and non-maternity wear. We’ve also added two new variations- a short sleeved top and a sleevelesss maxi dress which includes lengths for petite and tall heights.

We’ve had so many requests to bring Rie back, and I am so excited to finally share the new and improved pattern with you! I really hope you enjoy it!

What type of fabric would you recommend for this pattern? Is it designed just to be used with knits? Thanks!

It’s designed to work with knits – and i’ve found most work really well, you just need to make sure it has at least 40% stretch. If you’re planning on using it for maternity i would also make sure you use a 4 way stretch :) Hope that helps! xoxo
