Crop top pattern alteration for Wrapped Maternity top

You guys i’m so sorry i didn’t think to post this when i released the Wrapped top as a PDF! While i was working on this pattern with Simplicity and creating the PDF, i realised how easy it would be to adjust the pattern a little to create a cropped sweater or crop top.

If you already have the pattern, don’t worry – it’s a super easy pattern adjustment to get the same result.

I really love this little crop top because it adds so much versatility to the pattern. You could make a cropped sweater perfect for maternity or nursing, or a crop top that you can wear on it’s own or layer, adding a gathered skirt or a circle skirt immediately results in a gorgeous maternity dress or nursing dress. You could even add a little peplum.

Personally i’ve been dreaming about a Cascade skirt + Wrapped crop top mash up. How awesome would that be?!

[…] I used my wrap maternity top pattern to create the crop top, (the cropped variation with elbow length sleeves) – If you’ve got the Simplicity 1468 version of the pattern, it’s view A. If you have the original printed version of the wrapped maternity top, then it’s a really simple alteration to the pattern piece – you can get the updated instructions here. […]

Thank you!

Do you remember the awful rendiition I attempted with the pink dress variation that someone did? It is on pinterest and so cute but my version was pretty funny looking. Your version will give the bodice length that I need and I may try to add a skirt.

Here is the pin http://www.pinterest.com/pin/218072806929348483/

Thinking of you every day when we hear the news of the search for the plane.

Enjoy your last weeks of pregnancy, hoping you get some sleep! xoxo

I didn’t see anywhere else to leave my comments on the actual pattern itself. But I am so disappointed in the outcome of this shirt idea that I insisted on leaving my thoughts. This shirt is over ridiculous to put on by yourself. All of you must have trained personnel on hand to dress you. Please understand where I am coming from as I feel I wasted my money on the materials and my time to sew it! Utterly bummed!
