Four

Hey lovely friends! I can’t believe it, but it’s four years ago today that this little adventurer entered our lives and changed my world forever.

I can’t believe how much my gorgeous boy has grown up and become a “big” kid. I’ve loved seeing his personality develop, especially during this last year, to be a little guy who loves to explore, and figure out how everything works. Who likes quiet moments and notices all the little things. Who is always on the hunt for the perfect rock, and knows how to wear a hat like a boss. Who believes in super heroes and likes to keep everythimg organized and in order. Who is fascinated by maps and can spend hours carefully looking at a book catalog trying to pick out the perfect new book. I’m grateful for the time we’ve been having recently, just the two of us home during the day together, because it helps me learn even more about my wonderful little Buddy. He stole my heart those four years ago, and he wins it over and over again every passing day.

Happy Birthday, Buddy! My Small Boy will be 4 this year too, and I’ve just started to realise how much of a “boy” he is now. Definitely no longer a baby! He is so independant!

Hi Megan, I like the way you embrace little things. Beautiful post. My boy is 4 1/2 yrs and can relate to what you have said. Past few days I can see tremendous difference in him – developing his personality and wanting to do things himself.
