would you like to be a pattern tester?

Would you like to be a pattern tester?

I’m finalizing my SS2013 collection – and I’m looking for some extra pattern testers so that we can get these patterns out asap! I already have some really fantastic ladies lined up to help (thanks you wonderful gals!!!) – but I’d love a bit of extra help to make sure all sizes etc get tested.

You’re probably wondering whats involved?! The short rundown: when we start testing I normally send out a cute testers pack that includes the full pattern and instructions, as well as a little bit of info on what kind of feedback we’re looking for – and then we normally leave a good couple of weeks for you to give the pattern a try. When the pattern is released we always make sure to send the final pattern your way, (and giant virtual hugs) – and i love sharing your creations here on Design Diary :)

If you think you might like to help out, and will have some free sewing time in the next month – please fill out the form below:

Megan Nielsen XOXO

(If more people put their hands up than we need for this round of testing, i’ll keep your email on file to contact next round)

Thanks darlings!

(ps. sorry about the lack of Briar variations this week – i’ve got two coming tomorrow & friday. Finalizing the last patterns really knocked me back in my sewalong timeline. Ooops! XOXO)

Hi Megan,

I would love to be a pattern tester for you. I have been sewing for several years and have a cirtificate 4 in fash and textiles, but concider myself a begginer to intermediate sewer.

I have just dropped my work days back to 3 days a week so I suddenly have some extra time on my hands and no current sewing projects.

I am a size 8 usually.

Hi Meg, I’d love to test your new pattern(s)! I’ve made up your Briar twice so far and I love it (cropped and cardigan) so the only logical way is to volunteer and help you make things perfect! I am between XS and S on your size chart, 88-65-102cm. I sew with knits a lot but have been itching to get more into structured stuff. Hope to hear from you! XO Lisa

Hi Megan, I’d love to be of help! I’m at an inconsistent intermediate sewing level (I make my own patterns and can sew, but I’ve only sewn a few things straight from a pattern before), and I’ve made a couple of your tutorials in the past. I’m roughly a US size 10.

Hi,,
If you need any australian testers i live in brisbane. Size 10. I have gone back to sewing now my 2 boys are in school and finding such a supportive and inspiring online community. I check your blog everyday. I just ordered the briar pattern and it arrived today so it will be my first mn. pattern but have sewing with all grainline studios, several colette patterns, a wiksten and pattern runway. I can do some pattern grading and avoid the big commercial pattern companies at all cost. I am so inspired by how much you put out there for the sewing community.

Probably too late, ut I have made two versions of Briar, and two of your Kelly. I am a short and curvy size 12&14, and have fallen in love with your patterns. They sit perfectly at first try, and I am in the process of convincing the norvegian sewing community how perfect your patterns are. No matter if I get to try the paterns, I am really looking forward to seing te new patterns. They will be on their way to me as soon as they hit the stores!!

Dear Megan, I would love to test your pattern! Your patterns gave me back my love for sewing. I’m not the most experienced seemstress but I know how much info the beginning and intermediate seemstresses need. So I could help with that. I have a lot of free time on my hands now and I would love to contribute!

Maider from Masustak Eguzkitan

Hi there!
I´m Maider from Spain and my european size is more or less a 40, but it depends of the garment, I have to measure my body and check the size chart to find my correct size before starting with a new pattern designer. My level is intermediate and I have never sewn a pattern drafted by you.

Hi Megan, I’d LOVE to take part in this. The Kelly skirt is my favourite skirt pattern so far. I was a size S in the Kelly and am usually a 10 UK size. I live in the UK (funnily enough). I’m probably an advanced beginner/intermediate.

Thanks for the opportunity!
