save the date!

I’ve been getting a lot of queries about when my store will be reopening and when Megan Nielsen patterns will be in stock again- don’t worry, we’re getting close!!

It’s taken a bit longer than I’d wanted to get things set up in Australia – but that’s okay, it’s best to do things right and not rush. Moving a business to another country turns out to be quite the epic undertaking hehe. There is a lot more redtape to set up in Perth than there was in the US, and moving our manufacturing over here has often felt like a case of one step forwards, two steps back – but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! We’re expecting our first lot of stock in the next few weeks, which means… I finally have a date for re-open! Why yes, i am over the moon! hehe

We are officially re-opening on July 16th – though if possible I’ll try and open earlier, as I know there are so many of you waiting for patterns.

Thanks so much for your patience everyone! We’ll have patterns back in the store very soon!

Dear Megan,

I received your Darling Ranges pattern yesterday, am done tracing and cutting and will sew it up this weekend. Your sewalong posts for it are extremely helpful, and I just wanted to thank you for putting so much time and effort into making your patterns. I bought it from backstitch in the UK and I can assure you, they are a wonderful stockist. delivery to Denmark was quick, and the pattern came wrapped in tissue paper with a handwritten note, thanking me for my order. All in all it has been a wonderful experience so far, I feel very lucky that I stumbled upon your designs, it was a total coincidence.

Wish you and your family all the best!

I do hope you carry that darling skirt that flashes across your page……aw2010
Also, any tips for making the darling ranges fit a plus sized person with non plus sized arms?? I think I can make the changes but then the armholes get big too. thanks

well, I know I have to do a FBA and making the waist bigger is easy. I only need about 4 inches total, so it isn’t a giant fix. will let ya know how it turns out.
Can not wait for that red skirt and I am soooo not a skirt person!
