Testing a Raglan Tee for Buddy

I’m so glad I whipped up some shirts for the kiddos before we moved – because we are back in winter again!

It’s kind of weird to have two winters in one year – but i can’t complain too much. Perth winters are so mild, and we’ve played outside every single day since we got here, which is a far cry from being snowed in. One of Buddy’s favourite games is running all over my parents putting green and opening the holes to see if he can find any bugs. Such a boy!!

I’m kind of thrilled with how well this little raglan tshirt for Buddy turned out. It was a test piece for the toddler raglan pattern i’ve been working on – and i’d say it’s pretty near perfect. The fit is great, but the neckline still needs some fine tune (it’s a bit wide for my taste – i was worried about getting it over giant toddler heads hehe).

I used scraps from two old tshirts of mine –  i really love reusing fabrics!

Super cute shirt! Must be so great to have pattern drafting skills to just whip up things like this.

I have tried to sew for my grandson and I cannot get the tshirt neck facings to lay right. Do you have a pattern? Thanks
