Dear Virginia

It’s weird to me to think that this is my last post from the Virginian countryside. I’ve really enjoyed exploring all the back roads near our small town with Chris and the kids. It’s just so unbelievably gorgeous here… i’m really going to miss my dear Virginia! Anyone remember my first post from when I moved to Virginia? Funnily enough, it was wearing a Darling Ranges dress too – seems kind of full circle i guess!

Chris told me I looked “fancy” today. hehehe. It must be the combo of my awesome new jewelery from Merl & Kristin (i love having talented friends) – and umm the hair up? Ugh i dunno about the hair people. Seriously. Today I remembered why i hardly ever wear my hair up, i truly hate the way it looks on me. I was invisioning my bun to look more like my friend Emily’s always does, but alas, i am not Em.

Ooooo and before i forget – this is the second dress i made for the Darling Ranges sew along! Funnily enough, even though this is an exact version of the first Darling Ranges dress i released in 2010 – it still feels like a new dress to me, since i never had one till now. Silly hey? Whatever, i’m enjoying it!!

And who knows what the hell this pose is, but it made me laugh, so here  you go hehehe :) XOXO

Very pretty! I think your bun looks great. Congratulations on the move. When our daughter was young my husband and I decided to move back home too. Granted, we didn’t move continents just states. We went from Oregon to Nebraska. That was 10 years ago and it was the best decision we ever made. Hope the move goes smoothly!

I’m so sad that this is your last Virginia post, but it’s bittersweet because I know it means you’ll be on your way to Perth soon! Best of luck with the move and I’ll be twitter-stalking :)

Megan — how funny! I’ve been reading on and off for quite some time, but never realized how close you lived. I went to UMW, so spent 4 years in Freddie. Such a quaint little downtown! Now I live in Arlington. Glad you enjoyed your time here, good luck traveling home :)

Megan, break out your warm weather clothes, summer hasn’t finished here in Perth. At least today it was overcast, but still 25 plus degrees (that’s celsius for your North American friends). Just dying to get some cool weather clothes on! Good luck with the move, I hope it’s a good one for you and your family, when you get back, you can go for a walk in the real Darling Range and post some pics of our beautiful bush here :)

[…] And ALSO my hair is like a woolly scarf… i’m pretty sure it’s raising my temperature by a few degrees on its own. I might need to work on my bun skills. But we all know that didn’t turn out so well last time. […]
