Uh Oh My Camera Broke

soooo I really don’t know how this happened, but mid-use my camera stopped focusing. It just constantly searches back and forth and won’t lock onto anything. I’ve spent ages on the phone with tech support, been to the local camera store and read my manual back to front… had a reallllly good whine session on twitter… all to no avail. sigh. Looks like I’m going to have to send it into the factory to get serviced. I’m really not sure i can survive for 3 weeks without my camera – i guess i’m gonna have to try and dig up the old point and shoot from whatever drawer i threw it in…

Anyway, just wanted to give you all a heads up because though I will still be posting things on design diary, it will mostly be tutorials i had saved up and a kiddie related projects – I unfortunately won’t be able to share any studio or new design updates, or outfits until the camera is back. I really hope you don’t mind, thanks in advance for your patience!! Perhaps i’ll declare it unoffical kiddo month! hehe

I will now go cry into my camera bag…

Oh No! Life without camera – I don’t know how I would manage… Good luck!

I had something like this happen and it was a setting on the lense itself – not the camera. My guess is you have tried this, but it is worth a shot. Good luck.

Oh no! The same thing happened to my camera so it has been away being serviced for the last month. I HATE not having it so I feel your pain! Fingers crossed its a speedy mend

I feel your pain. I have to send my laptop in to get fixed but I’ve been putting it off because I don’t know what I’ll do without it. Sad but true….

Well stiff upper lip, this is unfortunate but I’m sure it will be fixed and back to you in no time so stay positive!

Look at the bright side of how easy a point and shoot is to carry around an whip out where ever you are!

Oh, what a bummer! Hope your camera gets fixed soon.

Found you via TxSC, hope to see ya there! Until then, have a good one.

I’m having problems with my camera too, so you have all my understanding :(

It sucks so bad when technology fails us. I had to go several months (!) while both my computer and my camera were being “fixed” in 2010 and I was miserable. Good luck. I hope you get it back quickly!

I’ve had that problem before, also with a Canon. Turns out it was the lens but I only had one lens so I never knew until a friend gave me an old lens and it worked again. If it’s not your lens then I hope they’ll fix it fast and you can get it back in less than three weeks. Bummer!

Oh no! I’m so sorry about your camera issue! I know that’s frustrating. I came up to Steamboat to ski for the first time and injured myself. Boo! So I did some whining and crying about my own misfortune. Not to worry. I’m sure we’ll both be back up and running the way we want to be before too long. Yay!

Have you tried it on another setting? My camera has a chronic focusing problem but it comes and goes so I put it sport setting and then take pictures. The bonus is no flash and the natural lighting looks pretty nice. I really hope your camera starts working or gets fixed soon!

Oh no, I had the same thing happen to me…my boyfriend fiddled with it (the little tech nerd he is) and it was all set…I really thought I had lost it forever! Hopefully yours is fixed easily! :) -Lo
