Princess Meow Meow

As Bunny gets older she’s starting to ask me to make things for her – it’s pretty much the sweetest thing ever. One of her favourite games is to put on one of her many tutus and be a princess. Whenever she plays her partner in crime is Meow Meow (you’ve probably noticed this little cat popping up in most pictures of Bunny, like here and here) – and recently she’s been wanting to dress up Meow Meow too. So i shouldn’t have been surprised when she asked me to make a princess skirt for her little kitty (tutu = princess skirt in Bunny language).

It was a quick little project, just two rectangles of tulle layered over each other and sewed at the sides, and the waistband is fold over elastic. Now Princess Meow Meow is ready for a heavy day of princess playing, tea parties and naps in her crib.

Too cute!

Meow meow really understands how to edit a collection so well and i love this modern take on a retro favourite. It’s classic but on trend at the same time. And that tutu silhouette is so flattering on her. Love it. Love her. I die.
