Blustery And Overdressed

Okay, so i think we need to get something out of the way right off the bat… my hair is kind of ridiculous. We went out on possibly the windiest day ever, and my hair would NOT behave. It was rather hilarious! Whats even funnier is that Chris thought my hair looked awesome… hmmm love is blind i guess :)

Anyway, it’s amazing to me that I hardly get to wear this dress. It’s the first version of my Lady dress from my debut collection. Long time readers may remember it was featured in Fashion Journal, back in Australia.

Actually, i think it’s may favourite dress ever. I adore it. Unfortunately it just feels so so sooo dressy. Actually so does the blazer. It’s one of my favourites from my old office life – and I’ve decided it’s about time I started trying to work all that awesome ‘career’ wear from the past into my current wardrobe. I will be ridiculously overdressed no matter where i go, but never mind – pretty things will be worn, and that’s probably all that really matters :)

I like crazy hair, but that’s because until I chopped it off, mine was crazy. Now it’s just short and crazy.

When are we going to get the pattern for the Lady dress?

Amen to that! “Pretty things will be worn”, indeed. I think you look great. The long skirt comes in handy, I’m sure, with young kids around. :)

This dress is AWESOME! I love my one of a kind ‘lady dress’ in the green I grabbed up off your site. Your right it does feel quite dressy. But maybe we are all just too casual?? It is a genius creation though, fit amazingly and always looks awesome:)Happy Birthday Genius!!

Van@The Clothes We Wear

Lovely, Megan! You definitely don’t need an occasion to dress up. Clothes should be enjoyed! And this dress and blazer are no exception. And the windy hair pictures look romantic! You have gorgeous hair.
