Back in May I made this maxi dress for a DIY Maternity tutorial, I wore it once, and then shrunk it in the process of once again being sucky at laundry, and it was suddenly almost 5″ too short. I was honestly devastated. Which is when I remembered that my darling friend Paige was pregnant, adorable, and a great deal shorter than me – so I sent it to her to enjoy!

Last week she wore it again, now that her little girl is born, and i’m so thrilled to see her enjoying it postpartum as well as when she was pregnant. It’s impossible to feel sad that this dress didn’t work out for me, when I see how perfectly it suits gorgeous Paige!

I’d say this was a case of dress fate :)

Defo a case of ‘dress fate’! It looks gorgeous on her. What a lucky girl to have a lovely friend like you!

Meg, that dress is perfect for her. Besides, that is the easiest dress in the world to make, you could preshrink some fabric and make yourself another ;D That style, of course, is perfect for postpartum nursing mommy too. I’m *still* a nursing mommy and I’ve got the perfect fabric. Fall be darned, I’ll wear it with a shrug and ballet flats!
