School girl socks

February 10th, 2010 13 Comments

I got to thinking about my school days a lot while I was designing my collection, and one of the things I kept coming back to was my school uniform. Though I largely respected the uniform, I got really excited by finding little ways to individualize it. One of my favourite ways was to make my socks a little more interesting. We were supposed to wear short socks, so instead I would trim them with lace or wear knee highs or something along those lines. Sure it may seem like a childish thing to do, but it made me feel cuter and a little more individual. No matter how much my style changes, I still have a real thing for cute socks.

So yesterday I played dress ups with what I’d be wearing if it were already spring… and relived that girlhood love for lacy socks and lace up shoes! I can’t help it I still find that look adorable, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to feature in my spring wardrobe quite significantly! I can already think of a bunch of different outfits I want to wear them with… obsession alert!

So if you’d also like to celebrate all things cute and pretty, and feel like a giggly school girl, then pop over to my store and grab yourself a pair of Schoolgirl socks. They’re just too cute!
